Who we are

People’s Voice Media is a community development organisation which uses media and social media for community engagement. Leading on the national community reporter programme, their aim is to encourage more people, of all ages, to get involved in community reporting. Based in Manchester, the organisation works across the UK specialising in pupil voice and assisting schools and organisations to embed media into all aspects of their work. People’s Voice Media have a great deal of experience delivering contracts for schools, local authorities, local housing and health organisations, using media for projects, training and consultation exercises. The organisation prides itself on building long term relationships, and has seen these relationships produce some incredible results in the past. Previous projects have included producing media based revision materials for other students and producing multimedia CV’s. People’s Voice Media’s specialism is storytelling and using media in innovative ways, such as the above examples. They also run sessions on enterprise and the skills needed to run small businesses. All the work of People’s Voice Media is about getting the best out of people, whether this is pupils, teachers or community members, media is a powerful way to develop a variety of skills.
