Who we are

The Liverpool Irish Festival has developed into the primary and most diverse showcase of contemporary and traditional Irish arts and culture in the UK. The 10-day festival takes place in multiple diverse venues across Liverpool including galleries, theatres, concert halls, clubs, pubs, community venues and public realm spaces. The Festival works in collaboration with some of the biggest cultural and visitor organisations in Merseyside (and U.K) with the highest visitor figures for the region and benefits from partner marketing with these organisations. We promote Ireland as a producer of world-class contemporary culture and provide a high profile international platform fostering cultural collaborations and engagement with Liverpool communities and artists including current generations of Irish and Liverpool Irish. The Festival is progressive and celebrates cutting edge contemporary Irish culture alongside the traditional, moving away from stereotyped ideas. We raise awareness of Irish culture and the shared heritage with Liverpool and ensure the links with the Irish diaspora evolve and remain vibrant.
