Who we are

Touchstones Rochdale is the Borough's Arts and Heritage Centre including: •'Hands on' museum for all the family •Art Gallery •Local History Centre •Education Service •Visitor Information Centre and Shop. This exciting arts and heritage centre has something special for everyone with a changing programme of exhibitions and events. Touchstones Rochdale offers inspiring, interactive and fun learning opportunities that directly support the needs of the new National Curriculum. We’ve put together a selection of must-have workshops and resources to help you get organised for the busy year ahead. Whether you’re looking for new ideas or tried and tested favourites we have it covered. We pride ourselves on bringing to life the National Curriculum inspired by the borough’s amazing Arts and Museum collections. You’ll find a host of innovations throughout the brochure, including exclusive local history workshops, which you can’t find anywhere else. Last year over 15,000 enthusiastic learners participated with our service through workshops, outreach sessions, special projects and loans boxes.
