Who we are
In the heart of Lancaster on Market Square, Lancaster City Museum is housed in an elegant Georgian building and offers the opportunity to :- • Discover more about Lancaster’s past from the Romans to the present day including a tombstone dating back to 100AD. • Trace the pedigree of Lancaster's regiment from 1680 onwards at the King's Own Royal Regiment Museum. • See the wonderful collection of portraits and landscapes on display. Schools are offered 2 sessions, both of which involve role play and object handling, with a Romans session for KS1/2 and World War Two session for KS2/3. With another 3 museums in Lancaster, this is the perfect opportunity for schools to make a day of it.
