Who we are
HOME is Manchester’s purpose built arts and entertainment venue formed from the merger of Cornerhouse and the Library Theatre Company. It houses five cinemas screening independent and foreign film, two theatres showcasing contemporary and commissioned plays and a large gallery exhibiting provocative contemporary art. Registered as an educational charity, HOME aims to promote education through the arts and runs a year-round programme of informal and formal education programmes.
What we do
HOME specialises in film, theatre and visual arts. Teachers and pupils can benefit from HOME’s School and College programme that uses film, visual arts and theatre to enrich learning. Events cover Modern Foreign Languages, Film & Media, Drama, Theatre Studies and English and are mostly aimed at the 14-19 age group studying GCSE, AS, A2 and equivalent. In addition, young people aged 15-25 can take advantage of a huge range of opportunities as part of the informal HOME Young Creatives programme
