Filament Projects

Who we are

Filament Projects is a Cheshire-based theatre company producing creative adventures for audiences of all ages. Led by Co-Directors Sarah Richardson (theatre director & education theatre practitioner) and Helen Slevin (theatre producer) Filament works with schools across Cheshire and Staffordshire and has created projects for organisations such as Staffordshire Libraries & Arts Service, the National Trust and Appetite Stoke (ACE Creative People & Places).

What we do

We specialise in making interactive work for primary school-aged children. We work in partnership with children, families and teachers to develop and deliver projects that help children make sense of the world around them. Our projects provide creative platforms for children voices. Recent projects include The Exchange, an audio installation capturing children's experiences of life under lockdown and The Cherry Coloured Coat, an online illustrated audio play exploring the power of kindness.
