Who we are

The Brewery plays host to national and international touring companies. As well as live performances for students to engage with, The Brewery has a busy Youth Arts Department which is dedicated to providing learning experiences for students. The work they deliver includes theatre, dance, music & arts workshops. The Brewery Youth Arts department works with primary schools, secondary schools and higher education colleges. The opportunities offered by The Brewery Youth Arts Department can be tailored to suit any age groups. Bespoke workshops can be offered to suit a particular class or schools. Please contact us to discuss your needs. Brewery Youth Arts cater for 5 to 15 students in our studio. Theatre at The Brewery can suit a variety of different age groups. For example there are shows for pre-school and reception children, plus there are also Shakespeare and challenging theatre shows for Sixth Form and college students. Check the website or current brochure for the current programme. Touring theatre companies will often put on bespoke workshops and presentations for school groups prior to the production – we can organize this for you. Our Theatre can hold 250 and is often booked our for a whole school for our Christmas productions, however we are also happy to welcome smaller groups especially those who want to engage with the theatre company prior to the production.The touring theatre companies often have educational packs that will link to the curriculum these can be provided in advance of the workshop/theatre production. Arts Award Students get discounts on many productions at The Brewery.
