A non-profit community interest company based in the heart of Rochdale, dedicated to providing opportunities for development and growth, by improving the emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing of marginalised and isolated communities. Awakening Minds provides evidence-based accredited Mental Health First Aid Training and resources in: Punjabi - Urdu - English

What we do

We provide an insight into the heritage of South-Asian cultures and are helping young people of colour navigate the current world. We are currently holding: - Bollywood Zumba - Traditional song and dance heritage nights - Prayer Nights - Ad-hoc Mental health support - Culture based Art Therapy - Diversity and Inclusion experiences - Destigmatizing 'Muslim' (talks for schools and communities) - Self-confidence classes for POC women - 'Live Life To The Fullest' classes
