After the successes of the previous festivals over the past 10 years, we are delighted to invite you all to get involved in this year’s event.

U.Dance is a national framework run by One Dance UK which helps to improve and inspire dance performance opportunities for children and young people across England, through working in partnership with organisations across the country. 

The UDance North West festival welcomes applications from dance groups across the region who work in all genres of dance whether that be in school, part of a community group or a youth dance company, with young people aged between 6-19 (or up to 25 for dancers with disabilities). 

It is a fantastic and fun event which aims to provide regional dance groups/ companies/ schools, the opportunity to share their choreographic work, take part in dance activities and a variety of professional workshops, as well as meet other young dancers from across the region. 

U.Dance NW (The Main Stage Strand) also acts as the regional selection event, in which groups can opt to be considered for the Main Group Performance Strand of the annual weekend long, National Youth Dance Festival U.Dance, led by OneDance UK. U.Dance takes place in a different city each year and this year it will take place in London at the Queen Elizabeth Hall Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st July 2019! 

This year, U.Dance NW is seeking exciting young choreographic voices/ artists in the region who make work for the 'Main Stage Performance 11-19', 'Under 11s Performance' 'Dance on Screen' and 'Choreographi Exchange' strands, this new choreographic exchange strand is suitable for groups still in the processing of developing their choreographic voice to take part in a development lab with other groups.

Choreographic Exchange Application Form : Sunday 27th January 2019

The festival for the North West Region will be held on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th March 2019.
